this thing had bess not climb the coast for Sept's New
I know that. Having been a sailboat owner for the last decade and more, I always look at the hurricane site starting in early August. Just thought it was interesting how the storms are stacked up right now. Unfortunately, the H is headed toward my second home, NOLA. Tis the season and the water has been warm this year. I also live along the southcoast and that keeps me watching too. Hey... I'm just sharing.
The 70th anniversary of the Hurricane of '38 is September 21st.
I dunno, call me superstitious
"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
My good friends are preparing to evacuate their home in New Orleans. What a thought for so many who have taken such losses in property and family disruption in the last few years. Talk about "thoughts and prayers needed". I was down there three times in the 6 months following the Katrina flood. Broke my heart. Hope to be there in October. I hope it's not to help clean-up again.
