U.K. & Normandy
Just returned from a 2 week tour of England, Scotland and Normandy France...we had a very busy trip and drove 2000+ miles...I thought I'd share a few photos and the places we saw...weather was great and it was a trip of a lifetime...Im beat, but ready to fish!!

Went to edinburgh when i was in the service.......great place. Loved the castle and how it overlooked the city.

then to London...I saw alot in London...not many pix though...all the big tourist sites ( Picadilly, Big Ben, Houses of Parliment, Bukingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, London Bridge) and a few museums ( the Tate Museum of Modern Art, V&A, and Museum of Natural History)

Great trip Slingah!
Personally, I think the French living in Normandy are the nicest, and most hospitable people in France, especially to Americans. That area is beautiful and daunting and very humbling. I was fortunate to visit there several times in the 80s.

the people were great JR...I feel blessed to have seen the area...I've started reading Stephen Ambrose's Citizen Soldiers..then will read them all....best part of the trip...

at lowtide near Utah Beach in Normandy, fishermen came out in numbers as we were driving through this small area..... with waders and these nets....any guess to what they were fishing for?

there were lots of people heading to the water at the same time...fishermen and regular folks......I figured small prawns or something they could eat? do the french eat sandeels?? they probaly do..
