Does it matter who, when or where?
This one is kind of old but I love this picture.

Jack Shea up on Plum Island.
It's old. Early 80's I believe.
Back in his commercial days. It's on the wall at Surfland.
Though I could be wrong.
i'll have to ask him.
He had a good night/day that day.

That is an awesome pic, PC. I love the old commercial buggy pics. Not the norm today, but it brings back great memories.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Daiwa 7000c reels, puts that pic somewhere in 1977/78 to 80'. I bought my first of 4 7000c Daiwa's in 78' for Monomoy first skirted spool reel I ever owned plus the manual trip bail by the rotor hitting that red knob on the reel stem.

That picture is 30 years old maybe a bit more, the Atom popper with the bit of prismatic tape dates to then also.

Great pic.

Why even try.........

Hey Flaptail, he fishes with the exact same set up to this day.
Notice the reels are taped on?
He still does that.
I guess it proves that the thousands of $$$ we spent really don't matter.
I wish there was a pic of him catching a fish because that rod bends more than any other rod I have ever seen.
I call him "hollywood" because even when he has a small fish on it looks like a monster.

Yup, that one is hanging in my man cave right now

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

John,

What are you looking for? Fish pics, scenery shots, S-B members with fish?
