Latest Car Dealer ad....

I don't recall the exact company, but the ad main point is focused on the wife, and her "trading in" the husband's "toys" toward a new vehicle.
They specifically pick the husbands stuff like boat, motorcycle, snow mobile, ATV and more. They make it sound like since these items aren't used EVERY day, they are just clutter in the garage/yard.

How many marriages are going to end because she wanted a new car, and traded his boat and trailer? Depending entirely on the individuals, maybe they could trade some of her "black shoe" collection and maybe some jewelry as well?

When I heard the commercial, I was upset at the blatant ploy to get women to buy their vehicles.

Be forewarned, and make sure you lock up your "toys" if you see the misses flipping through the Automotive section of the papers!

My wife wouldn't even think about doing that. We respect each others toys and even share them. My biggest fear is that I croak and she sell them for what I said I paid for them.

I'd trade "her" in but I wouldn't do that to even my worst enemy never mind a car salesman. Plus unless they pay me per pound, trading "her" in won't help!

(Pretty brave words seeing she doesn't visit this board)

Uncle Matt I am not sure if you are a brave soul or just crazy!!!!

My hubby never has to worry about me doing this to him because I treasure our "toys" over our vehichles! I have owned snowmobiles that cost more than the car I drive!!!!! Yes I DO have my priorities straight!

I heard this particular commercial on WTKK, and if you hear it, listen to how they word the ad..("if your husband has "toys" that are collecting dust in the garage."

Now who do you think their target audience is?
(Not the breadwinner, because he/she is most likely at work, and isn't listening to the radio.)

I see your point Fisherman Tim but if a woman goes out and actually DOES this she had to be predisposed to doing so before the commercial, no?
