SOME SQUID

I've been fishing a smaller version of this with good success all season, just got this jumbo model painted up...they cast remarkably well even into the wind, I think the fins provide some stability in the air so it's been my go to plug for distance and when battling a stiff breeze...I fish it like a spook although it holds in rough water better than a spook and it will nose under and dart as well.....

they are Wayne Cooper Flex Eyes, I modified them a little by removing the foam core that they come with and replaced it with something more rigid, they're pretty neat and are simply plastic eyes that are very detailed....

Nice job. I am fiddling around with putting those little wings on a pencil type popper. I like the look . I have a few of those eyes. They are not cheap. Look like amphibian style. Good job

OMG

I suck...

Slip, happy to trade for something, this one is 8 1/4" and 4oz. tell me what size you want, just can't guarantee when but not too, too long...I could use a metal lip that will get down a little ways...

the eyes are about $4 a pair which I guess is a lot for a plug but they are perfect for squid....I don't think I'll make a habit of using them but I was curious as to what they looked like when I saw them in the catalogue...

Professor...the a Aquamend (about $3) and the wood version of it in the adhesive section of Home Depot is perfect for building "wings" and other things...the wood version floats(topwater plugs) and the aquamend sinks (sinking plugs)... strong, sands easily and accepts paint well
