I saw several blitzes offshore yesterday off York beach. There's still fish up there Stiffy. It's been slow though. We had a huge school of pogies about 3 weeks ago in the Damariscotta but it's been quiet the last two trips up there too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STIFFTIP

A different car in the lot at Leo's had a skinny 36# in the cooler. Maybe too much talking and not enough fishing.Try to recalibrate the convertatron from schoolies to cows.

Happy B-day Dave. Not givin up yet but if this cold wind keeps up I may. Strong winds all this upcoming week from the north with a little respite from the west on Tues. If something is going to happen in the Bay into the canal I would think it would happen sometime this week, but I am just speculating.

Happy Birthday! I don't think the migration has even gotten into full swing yet. I fished 2 spots on the cape yesterday and there are fish around. Nothing big, but around 24" which are usually the scouts before the bigger fish come through. In one spot you mentioned there were plenty of dinks around, but the water looked like coffee because of the wind. I left that area after a while and went somewhere where the wind wasn't as bad. I had just missed a push of mid 20 inch fish, and then it went slack and shut down. But, there was plenty of bait in the water and some birds working out of casting range.

On a side note, as I arrived at one spot there was a guy walking to his truck with a fish that looked pretty small. I said hi to him and asked how the fishing was and he said it was pretty good. Then I noticed the size of the fish he was holding and asked him how big it was. All of a sudden he forgot how to speak English. He kept nodding and saying "thank you, thank you"? When I got to the shore, someone there said they measured it for him and it was only 25". It's getting ridiculous with people poaching.

Happy BDay. Good to see some numbers of small fish in the canal yesterday. Watched a boater hit a few schools in the canal for quite some time...where was the patrol man or CG? Pogies and scattered larger fish to around 36". Maybe the peanuts and herring are getting too smart and are hanging around inside until all the stripers go bye bye. I'd like to think we still have 3 more weeks....hopefully
