The south shore surf is huge and dirty!! Stay home this weekend!!

With this honking norwest wind montauk is going to have even more bass!!

Strange conditions this morning. Went to first spot in mid LI sound and it was flatter than a farm pond, not a ripple to be found. No fish either. Moved over to Harkness and found some medium sized rollers along with dirty water and weed.

Anyone see my eel last I knew it was still flying over Fishers Island.

We got clobbered Friday night. Would go from 3-4 feet to suddenly 8 footers. We lasted 3 hours and went home beat.

Jeff, I found your lost eel. It seems the snowy, NW winds created a massive, swirling eddy up along the Rhody/CT coast moving your eel back up the coast into what surftypes would call the "Perfect Eddy" or the "Hundred year Coastal Vortex"... So your eel shows up down at the end of my street but then is grabbed by a Cormorant...
