Went down to vist the fishing community in Florida, brought no rods but learned tons.
I sat at the end of a long peir and watch dudes fish. All kinds of fish and all kinds of fisherman. these dudes roll live wells out there with car batteries, they also have 5 gal bucket that they throw bait they've either snagged of cast netted. rods and reels of every kind...seemed like each guy had 6 rods, some more. alot of them need sleep...I could tell.also,,they where trying to be secretive at least from me they wheren't. At night there's big light on the end of the peir, all kinds of big fish down there...snook chasing schools of bait on top. I learned more about fishing just sitting there then people who been in FL alot longer.
The second day I hung around boats. I went on a big party boat that had a whole 9 anglers on it. Some of them really good fisherman. Again, I learned more about FL fishing on those two experiences just by watching and I had a great time to boot.
Alot of guys start fishing like they do walking....same is true with fishing. First ya walk then ya run.

personelly I think the fisherman up here are wiser so to speak....if you guys went down there you'ld kill'um!
