need Danny Pichney help
What is this plug I have .. Bought it as a DP . Conrad Sr. Length 7.5 but weight is only 2.8 oz ,no hooks.. Dozer site and others call for a weight of 4 - 4.5 oz. ??? Lip is wire brushed like Pichney .. Tail wrap is like a sailor laying rope on a deck like Pichney . Why such a light weight ? paint kind of suky ... I cloned these and cast, swam and went down pissa . could this be Danny Proto ?

Ones I just made were in the 3.25 range, no hooks, AYC with the appropriate weight size. I am kind of leaning toward it being a real one myself, but I am far from and expert. I just picked up Jr and tail wrap looks similar with brass belly grommets, dull stainless thru wire, and lip looks right too. Did BM make any this size? They did make the JR's but shape was a tad different and had shinny new age lips.

Though I am far from an expert, I do still fish 2 DP Conrads and that doesn't look like either of them the body shape seems wrong and it appears to be a repaint. Maybe it was one of those bodies that were never finished by Danny. Also the woods Danny used especially in the Conrads was very variable and no two plugs seemed to be (or catch)the same.
