Fishing Food Poll:

So you are going fishing with your buddies, be it on a trip for a few hours, an all nighter or a multi-day excursion! What is your "must have" fishing food/snack that you just can't be without? With many its a ritualistic food so I know what a few friends of mine might answer!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Early morning trips on the skiff I absolutely have to have a thermos of fresh hot coffee. Bagel and cream cheese, apple, and maybe a breakfast bar. Coffee is the big item if nothing else for me! If I'm fishing at night I'll bring water and jerky. A nice cold beer is waiting at the end!

For me, not so much besides a mountain dew and some jerky,, but with the kids, we always have to get dorritos or some other chips and usually a loaf of bread and ham and cheese so my daughter can whip up some sandwiches.... She usually makes em as she doesnt like to touch the fish or bait, so she has the cleanest hands...

Hot coffee and malasadas from Ma's and a half a pack of smokes - the breakfast of champions -

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
