how they do this?

I have not been able to figure how this plug is thru-wired without using a tail wrap. I am considering opening it up to find out but before I resort to that I thought I would ask you folks. I have no idea who may have built it due to no markings anywhere.

They make the front loop and stick it through plug. Mark for total length and take it out. Make bend and flatten it out enough to fit over a nose grommet. Reassemble rear part of plug. When loop comes out the backside place nose grommet over wire then pry open loop with a scratch awl or center punch.

Could also be that the rear section was cut in half and re glued before painting. (a lot more work this way)

Thanks Mac! I would think the wire would lose strength but I suppose unless it's weaker than your line it shouldn't fail. Two part glue up is a time consumer for sure. Really was drawing a blank when I saw it.

Creek Chub Bait Co. was the company that invented that method of putting jointed plugs together. Along with thru wiring itself.

Why even try.........
