2003 June Canal Charts.
Hi Guys, Just planning my 2cd annual pilgrimage to fish my home waters. Only two more years out here in Missouri. I was wondering if anyone could post when the new moon is in June as well as the date and time of the two sets of east turning tides after midnight during that month. Like, tide turns east on 6/4 at 12:18 am or something like that. I can figure out the rest. Have a safe new year, Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave--the new moon is June 29. Based on just the seat of my pants, I figure you'll get your east turn around midnight sometime in the June 21 to June 23 range. Earlier in the month sometime in the 7th thru 9th time frame. Full moon is June 14

Thanks Mike, One more question; Where is the cheapest capsite in the area. I plan to rough it for a week or two and don't really need any ammenities accept for a safe place and place to pitch a tent (one to sleep in). Borne scenic? Isn't there also a place in Sandwich?

Thanks, The Shawmee Crowell state forest looks to be the best by far. It's cheap and has shaded sites (to be able to sleep during the DAY!!) where Scusset is smack dab in the middle of a field of yahoos.
Last year I came home from May 18 to June 20. I killed myself getting herring for two weeks with moderate luck only to smoke the big dawgs from the night I started fishing skins to the night I left.

Dave, Ditch was close, the tide turns east exactly at midnight on Tuesday June 10th and the next time Tuesday June 24th it turns east at 12:10 am.
Full moon 14th , new on 29th like Mike said. So looks like the week of the 24th will be good for you.
do yourself a favor and skip the herring this time I hope you know who has skins again this year.
