A variation on the other question, Big Bass !!!
If and only If you had just one spot to put all your efforts towards landing the bass of a lifetime, where would it be?? And, What lure or bait would have the most confidence in (remember, you can only chose ONE Lure or bait type) So think about this one for a moment!
Part two! What conditions would you consider the absolute best for landing that horse!! Time of year, wind, tide etc......

Undisclosed place in Rhody on an eel... Fall run, tide dropping, full moon but heavy overcast night, with a decent in-your-face wind....

It would be in that special honey hole I call "HOME" located in the lower delaware bay, fishing a fresh bunker head at the top of an incoming tide, with a light south wind. And of course the fish would hit as soon as I take that first bite of my sandwich.... it always seems to happen that way. Which brings up another question that I will save for later.

Forgot this part. Would be early morning. I'll hook it in the dark but it will be light by the time its landed. Right at the edge of darkness. BTW , how do you edit a previous post here?

RE:A variation on the other question, Big Bass !!!
I thought I was registered. Guess not. I'll be going tonight but getting there late John. If I can get my act together , I'll be doing the herring thing Sat or Sun , hopefully Sat. Carefully crimped new battery connectors to the wires to the herring pump , then realized I can't get the wires into the tank with the clamps on!! Murphy's Law send me back to the drawing board.

It would have to be Oregon Inlet,NC early December with live eels. About a 6 p.m. high tide fishing the outgoing. We slayed the mid 30's and a few 40's last year there. You know we didn't catch the biggest fish. So what else is down there?
