Plymouth Power Plant

I stopped by the Plymouth Nuclear Power Plant Tuesday at noon to cast a fly and was surprised to find the gate leading to the visitor parking lot shut and locked. They didn't lock it for the year until December 1st last year. Has anyone any idea about whether the gate is to stay shut until spring 2001 or was this just an unusual circumstance to have come across. I believe their are new owners of the property. Also I know they were dredging the inside of the southern jetty, and I'm wondering if they have expanded the dredging further necessitating the earlier jetty closure to fishermen/fisherwman, and baitcasters.

Not sure if this had anything to do with it, but the news reported a small fire outside the reactor on Friday. Nothing substantial, just enough to get everyone's hair frazzled.

Is this the infamous swimmer I know? Don't like the news on the power plant in Plymouth, not good news indeed, was planning on going down next week to check out the fishing, I will have to make the trip and make sure it is closed for the season, but I sure hope it isn't. Would like to wet a line a few more times before winter. By the way how is the knee?

Spent this beautiful day (yeah) finishing rigging up the boat, and although the season is winding down, I'm hoping for a nice few days or better yet a 65 degree sunny weekend the end of the week, so I can launch in Plymouth to see how the boat handles the big pond and hit the power plant. Good buying a boat at the end of the season (better prices), but the drawback is not having much time to play before it's time to winterize it.

I hoping for a winter like the one we had two years ago (?), when I fished for largemouth & pickeral all winter long. Tight lines, maybe I will see some of you out there next weekend.
