Stay Positive!

HOW TO LIVE, WHILE YOUR ALIVE!! - (George Carlin)

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let
the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening,
whatever. Never let the brain idle. “ An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.”
And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is
with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it’s family, pets,
keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable,
improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a
foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.
If you don’t send this to at least 8 people.... who gives a #^&#^&#^&#^&??

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Bloo, thanks for the great post. Shortly after I met my wife I asked her if she wanted to see George Carlin. It was a great show, crass but funny just the same. Her kids (late teens) thought I was cool for taking their mom to see him. Well a year and a half later we married. Last week Diane found a lump in her breast so off to the drs. Test were done right away (yesterday)which seemed awful quick. Now we learn that more testing is scheduled for Tuesday. Needless to say things are rather dicey at best here. Her mom, the best mother-inlaw a guy could have, died 10 yrs ago due to complications from breast cancer. The long and short of it all is life is much to short. We all talk it but until reality slaps you hard in the face......well let's just say I think we take to many things for granted. Your post pretty much sums it up!

Don't attempt to run from the past,
it is always behind you.

Don't be afraid of opposition;
Remember a kite rises against, not with the wind.

Don't be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless,
a treasure you can always carry easily.

Don't be angry at a friend who told your secret,
for neither could you keep it to yourself.

Don't be concerned others not appreciating you.
Be concerned about your not appreciating others. (Confucius)

Don't control, be in control.

Don't ever slam a door-
you may want to go back.

Don't fear failure so much that
you refuse to try new things.

The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions:
could have, might have, and should have.

Don't get good at doing something
if you don't like doing it.

Don't kill the dream - execute it!

Don't learn the tricks of the trade,
learn the trade.

Don't let anybody walk trough your
mind with dirty feet. (Gandhi)

Don't let what you cannot do interfere
with what you can do.

Don't let your life slip through your fingers
by living in the past or for the future.

Don't limit your challenges - challenge your limits.

Don't listen to what I say; listen to what I mean.

Don't love the things you own, lest they own you.

Don't pray for an easy life - pray to be a stronger person.

...and lastly, Don't let people drive you crazy when
it is within walking distance.

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Just got back from the oncologist, "a mass of questionable suspicion" Bottom line it's not cancer, however, it is to be monitored every 3 months as removal in the drs. opion would be to intrusive. 2 people gonna sleep good tonight and you can bet there's going to be a little less procrastination in this house.
