Fishing Cape Ann

Friday being one of the best days of summer, calm, no wind a couple of friends and I did some striped bass fishing off of Gloucester. Fish were hard to come by, but we did manage to hook four nice fish all over 37 inches within 3-4 hours of fishing. Deep water did not produce any fish, all the fish were caught along the rocks and we also caught and released a bunch of small fish in the 24-30 inch range.

Today, Saturday went out and dogged up in the deep water, to windy and rough to fish against the shore on the outside. Tried a couple of spots in the inner harbor and we did not catch a fish.

Plenty of fresh bait the last couple of days, the herring boats were in.
