MYSELF AND 3 FRIENDS ARE GOING TO ALASKAS ' KENAI PEN. FOR 2 WKS OF FISHING.:kewl.GOT A MIN? STARTING ON FRI JULY 24 @8AM WE LEAVE BOSTON TO WASH ST. TO ANCORAGE LANDING AT ABOUT 3PM GET TRUCK , LOAD UP ON GEAR AND FOOD ETC SPEND NIGHT IN ANCORAGE......

DRIVE TO SOLDOTNA 3HRS TO THE K-P SAT MORNING...GET TO CAMP FOR 1PM ITS CALLED THE FUN MOOSE LODGE.WE HAVE A 4- MAN CABIN W/ ALL THE COOKING AND CRAP AND OTHER STUFF COMPLETE FOR 7 DAYS THERE WE COOK OUR OWN MEALS

.. THE PROGRAM IS 2 DAYS FISHING FOR KINGS FROM 25 TO 75 + LBS. FROM A 24 FT CC TROLLING AND CASTING W/ CUT BAIT AND LURES IN THE KENIA RIVER...NEXT A 1 DAY FLYIN TO WHO KNOWS WHERE

...THEN A DAYS FISHING FOR HALIBIT OUT OF HOMER AK ..WHEN WE LEAVE THE LODGE WE HAVE 5-6 DAYS ON OUR OWN TO EXPLORE AROUND THE KP A DAY HERE AND THERE

THEN BACK TO ANCORAGE TO MEET UP W/ THE WIFES AND HEAD SOUTH ON A TRAIN TO SEWARD AK TO PICK UP A CRUISE SHIP FOR A CRUISE THROUGH THE INSIDE PASSAGE TO VANCOVER B.C. TO FINISH THE TRIP

THIS IS THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME .I SWORE I WOULD GET THERE AND ITS COMING FAST....:doh I HOPE TO TAKE LOTS OF PIC AND VIDIO TOO ALSO I GONNA GET DRUNK IN HOMER FOR A DEAR LOST FRIEND.......:laughs LAST THING I;M GOING TO RETIRER NEXT MONTH AFTER THIS TRIP

Had a friend fish his way thru Alaska for a month with his wife and he's still talking about it

I said it before, Alaska will never be the same unspoiled fishing paradise when you and your crew get through.

Now I know why Sarah Palin is quitting, she heard that you bums were going to invade her state, thats why she is out salmon fishing before you clowns rape and pillage the place.

And yes George, the cruise ship passengers will be bummed.

Sounds like a great trip. Hope you ship some filets back. I leave with 8 other guys on Aug 11 for a 6 day fly-in to Lake Creek River. Silvers, pinks and chums. Went in'07 with my boys for kings...what a thrill...toe to toe from gravel bars. to big for my fly gear, didn't like the spey rods so fished my ABU baitcaster on a 9' salmon rod a blast and a 1/2. Gotta get to Homer or Seward some day for the halibut and ling cod.
