I havent been fishing in 2 weeks. Just been super busy with typical summer plans, people coming down to visit, and also we lost the entire month of june due to rain so now Im trying to pack all summer plans into the last month and a half so fishing has kind of been put on the back burner.

I am taking a good chunk of this year to do things around my house that I have neglected...I just found a bunch or rot and leaks.
The fish are not a priority for me this year......other things are more important. Plus with all the rain...I am waaaay behind at work.

Larry, give me a call when you're on vacay. We'll do Wellfleet and/or P-town Harbor/s some fine morning. We'll call it Funkfest!

I hope I can get motivated later this month.
To be totally honest I've started cycling again (I used to race road bikes) and now that consumes a lot of my free time. The problem is that fishing just doesn't add enough value (i.e. exercise) and there's only so many hours in the day...so do you spend them doing something you like that has side benefits (i.e. fitness) or doing something that is just fun?
I really like not being fat.
Additionally, my work travel has been very high this year.
Hell, I couldn't even make a RIROCKHOUND sponsored trip this past weekend.

It's just the summer doldrums. The heat and humidity usually kill my drive this time of the year too. Just waiting for that first noreaster and the first push of mullet. Either that or a couple of good shots at bonito or albies on the fly rod .

Ronnie....just conversing as far as my responsibilities here at home are keeping me from fishing. So much to do my focus has to be here and I am having trouble thinking of fishing. Hopefully in a couple weeks my fall will belong to me.....headed to Wellfleet for a week the 22nd so all should be great by then! Not whining and not suicidal.......I guess people read their own issues into many of the threads here???
