Provincetown Puma??

I know this will probably open a can of worms. But I heard a rumor that someone got a picture of it's pet being attacked by it. I've heard people talk about it before. And Marky actually said he saw it near the salt pond across from the cabin once on his way to RP. Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything.

OH, the Pamet Puma. P-Town Puma sounds funnier though, and therefor that's how it will always be known by me! I think mis IDed coyote though. Thanks for the vid Karl, makes it almost feasible?

If you're picking up Cougars out of P-Town, I don't think many here would want to see the pics.

I saw one in Truro years ago. 2-3 years ago you could smell one (no , well yes, %$%$%$%$) at the Visitor Center at Race Point. From over that drop opposite the Center. Smelled like a cat box. Haven't smelled it since. I'd wager that there's more than one. They have a tremendous range. I also noted fewer deer, turkeys and coyotes near my house than last year, still plentiful but not the hoards of the recent past.

I dont know, a lot of places claim to have them. Like Maine and Michigan for instance. They go on these crazy poo hunts and spend a lot of money and the poo just doesnt pan out. I would think that if they were on the cape they would be seen frequently and probably road killed for positive ID.

Everything is better on the rocks.

When you start talking big cats, the (tip of) Cape is really constrained in area as these cats steak out 10's of sq miles for territory. If they were there: they'd be heard (ever hear one scream), seen, tracked (foot or poo), etc. Turn on your sound!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

The one that I saw crossed Rt. 6 right in front of my car. There was no misidentifying, no drink or drugs, and no mistake.

With all the crap that goes on in the dunes someone would have been dinner by now if there was one around, or lots of large dogs would be missing...

off the topic....but....2 weeks ago in northern Vermont. near Jay, sitting with wife and son by fire around 10 at night. Maybe 100 yards away a pack of "wolves" starts howling. Went right through us. Our yellow lab ran for the house. Now I've heard coyotes up there for years and this sounded totally different. It sounded exactly like wolves. Lasted 2-3 minutes and then silence.

Joe, I think there was a full moon 2 weeks ago. It may be time to give some thought to stocking up on silver bullets and painting a pentagram on your door. Admittedly, werewolves aren't as plentiful as they used to be, but it never hurts to cover all the bases.
