Message in a bottle

I was fishing on Saturday night from the surf and found the attached message washed up on a rocky point... Anyone ever find anything like this? Should I write back

For the record I was in RI many many miles away from where this originated from.

Why not? Nothing says you have to put your return address on the envelope

I found one on Cutty in '04. It was a school project from some kids on MV according to the letter. I sent all the info back via email but never got a response.

interesting writing style

part almost cursive and part printing...

my point being that the art of cursive writing
is a disappearing art form and is now only
taught up to 3rd grade.

Modern writing via keyboards ,,,keypads
is taking over.

Probably from the Shenandoah... the elementary schools go on the boat for a week. I did it twice in '01 and '02 in the Chilmark school... no one has found my message yet!

I found one

but it was a joke or something.

Said, "I still like penis." - and some girl's name. And nothing more.

Send a reply...I walk the Backside beaches all winter and have found bottles from cruise ships, swordfishing boats and replied to them all.The last "good one" was a bunch of balloons and ziplok bag attached in the wrackline out at Peaked Hills just before a winter n/e str.The note inside was written by a female[you could read it] with a phone #.I called the # and left a message and my #.A few days later a man called. He said that on some Sundays he lets his daughter release balloons from the church steps after mass. They live in western Pa. and it was appx. 10 days difference. The balloons had to have fallen into the water then washed up.I had my video camera with me so I had taken video of me,my dogs and the area including the dune shacks, dunes and the balloons with the note. The family had never been to the Cape so I put the video on a vhs tape and sent it to the daughter[with dads permission].She used it at a "show and tell" in school and won 1st prize. The whole family was very thankfull.

Paul, I found one on the Cape this summer. The ink had smudged and I couldn't read it. I would send a letter back. Who knows? It could be from a super hotty.

Years ago we found a message in Fairfield, Ct. The next day a buddy was going to Calif. for work. He wrote the kid a letter saying he found it in Calif. and mailed the letter from Calif. the next day.
