saturday, swap out the lawn mower for the snow blower.. replcace the scrape edge and guides, belts and fire it up... batten down the hatches on the screen porch... saturday night sit by the door with the bottle of scotch and hand out the goodies...

sunday, get the first plugs of the new building season in the epoxy...

A good run is better than a bad stand!

Just think how many disappointed kids there would be tomorrow night if the wind blew from the north.

Fortunately for them our maker has it all figured out. I suggest you position a heaping pile of custom wood (hooks removed) ‘neath your doorstep, don your best werewolf mask, crank up the monster mash cd, and become a bastion to our sport tomorrow night. Heck, I might even make the 1.5 hour drive down there…got any parrot darters left?…

Fishing somewhere hopefully ... would prefer that this pending wind lays down a bit so i can take the little boat out - as I was waiting all year for it ... but will be okay with the surf as well ...

Bah humbug! I feel bad for your kids. They're going to be on top of the world tonight after earning piles of candy...then they'll go to bed and the next morning the pile will be magically less....and each day to their dismay and astonishment the pile will get smaller and smaller while dad gets bigger and bigger. Poor kids will grow up thinking candy dissolves in the dark.

Cleaning up the yard out the shed and basement. I have a 30 yard dumpster in the driveway, the second this year. 35 years of fishing instead of doing chores will catch up to you big time.

The Phillies have a salary $11M less than Boston and $34M less than the Mets.

I hear you though. Baseball really needs a salary cap... but it'll never happen.

Josiah, sorry to hear. I know you were looking forward to the father/son bonding on the Island.

I'm gonna Ditch it one more time tomorrow morning. Then sit up tomorrow night for the wee ones. Got to rest Sunday as I am working 4, 16 hour days in Boston at the Convention center next week.

No boat, back in the suds.

Tonight nothing

Saturday I will be under the hood of my wifes car trying to find why it broke down in the middle of a rain storm the other night, and had to get towed home, then get my gear ready for Block Island and clean my truck.

Sunday I hope nothing but I am sure there is something to do

Fish the surf at first light, then see if the wind is really going to be gusting to 50 mph. If not, might get out on the boat for a last fishing trip. Am considering hauling it on Sunday. (Don't want to have it out in the street for Halloween...) Blow some leaves, weedwhack the garden beds, shop for a snowblower, and avoid Salem at all costs. Tonight and tomorrow are going to be crazy over there....

Also have a wake for a 54 year old friend on Sunday.... RIP Charlie. I'll miss you.
