Advice on rods and reels

We are relocating to NH from FL and are looking for advice on upgrading rods and reels. In FL we mostly fish the flats for reds and snook in the 2-8lb range and use a stradic 4000 spooled with 10lb power pro on a 7 foot med Redbone rod. We fish mostly lures and figured this setup would work for schoolies. What would guys recommend for targeting keeper stripers and larger blue fish. My wife and I mostly fish from a boat and will toss lures or use life bait - trolling is not our thing. We are comfortable with either spinning or convential. Thanks

You've got the right stuff power pro will catch anything
You might consider gettting an bu- Convetional rig for fluke jigging CMS custom rods in New Bedford MA will equip you with thew best fluke and striper rods around
The stradic 4000 can be put on a light surf rig for some god stripers or even schoolies
but your on the right track

Two Changes and It's Legal

Yes, CMS or M&D's can set you up with a nice 7' rod for the boat. There are many to chose from, just tell them what you are gonna toss and with what reel andd they can help you out.
