Sure am glad this aint snow!

Wind driven rain pounding down. Just had a gust clocked at 51 mph! Woulda been ugly if it had been white!

Tell me about it! It's howling here! But I'm glad I don't have to shovel in the morning.

Ross; can you imagine the erosion going on at the Plum Island beaches tonight. With the tide around 8 or 9 and being around a 10 ft tide there will be erosin again. I hope the homes are safe.

Georgetown is without power this morning.....a lot of towns out this morning.

Of course if you are one of them....then you can't read this

Yeah, my sister and brother in law are going to be in the guest room at least for the weekend. They lost power in Dover NH last night, and they've already been told it will be three days... Told me their road looks like a war zone.

My yard was flooded pretty bad and I had lots of branches down, but luckily the basement stayed dry and the power stayed on. I'm glad I put the new roof on the house last summer or things could have been ugly. Worst thing to happen to me was stepping off the walkway onto the grass and going up to my ankle in mud, but I'm not complaining.

We had a max wind reading of 70 mph... Lots of trees down, but not a lot of power loss locally. My sister is still without power in Dover NH. Haven't heard what happened up at Plum Island.

And while I am truly sorry for others' misfortunes from this storm, I have found myself and other contractors to be the beneficiaries. I would guess that I have the next three months booked for repair work as a result. The haggling with insurance companies begins tomorrow. Still have a house with a tree through it to deal with. The owners cannot even stay in it until we get the tree removed and survey the damage.

PI took quite a hit. The sand they gained since Oct storm is gonesville. The humongous sandbags did their job and held the dune up in the usual spot, but more erosion all around. There were a LOT of roof shingles all over the area. Some roofs were pealed just as if we had a hurricane. I think I heard that the wind did reach hurricane force.
Ross how did the neck at Marblehead fare out? Lots of work there I bet. Make the dough now - you deserve the break. Just use my method -- CUFF -- cash up front first!
