Went for a couple of hours yesterday to see if there were any Carp around.....nothing but fresh air...beautiful day though, felt good just to wet a line

Not that I would have gone out but checked Minot (44013) yesterday waves were still 10' and today 5'!

Picked up a couple largemouth and a couple pickerel yesterday in the only local pond with open water.

I was field testing the 7' all star I just built and it worked great. Feels good to stretch a line! (So good that I might just have to head over there again this afternoon )

What a weekend I had with The Boy!

Batting cages and pizza friday night. Hockey practice(I am an assistant coach with him), followed by the driving range to wack a few, followed by a few hours of drowning shiners(No fish but he had a blast netting the shiners. Had to remind him half a dozen times that Shiners like it much better IN the water and they are not particularly fond of being petted).

Sunday morning at the MSBA show was great, some very folks were very generous to the boy - Thanks JohnR, Kadir and Pt. Jude Joe.

Topped it all off with a little football in the back yard and we were both exhausted. He's just turned 6 and life seems to get better every day.
