Bass Pro Shops
I was in Bass Pro Shops this past Sunday to grab a few things I need for the up coming season. The parking lot was jammed, the store was full, and the lines at the registers were 4 or 5 people deep. I hope this means the economy is coming back!

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I went on saturday and the place was empty, as was the rack of pliers i was looking for. I missed the reel trade in by a few days, that would have been the only way to get a VS on "sale", too bad they didnt have any in stock.

rob... buy your VS online, saving you hefty sales tax... and another thing many people dont know is that many online merchants will slightly lower a price and waive shipping if you simply ask... A sale is a sale...merchants are willing to negotiate online I have found... (not just fishing either). slightly lower profit margin beats NO profit margin...

We were in there Saturday and it was pretty busy. Caught the tube and worm seminar and took off. Struck out on most of what we were looking for but killed a day with dad and my son

Don't go on gameday, my wife's best friend has worked there since the open and absolutely refuses to work on gameday anymore.
The store has done very well since it opened.
All we need is a Cabela's now, and we'll be good to go.

Were you able to actually find a few useful things there? I met up with Eric down there yesterday with $40 to spend in points from my CC. Couldn't find a single useful thing I wanted.

Plenty of useful stuff there...all kinds of Freshwater gear...I go there to get hooks and other terminal tackle for fresh as well as rubbah and lures.
also I enjoy Camp cooking and they have a decent selection of Cast iron cookware....not as good as Cabelas...but I think their Fishing department is better than Cabelas.

I don't buy much there because their selection of plugs sucks, but I enjoy taking my son. He loves playing the target shooting game and he likes looking at all the taxidermy stuff. I'm planning on getting back into freshwater fishing this spring, so I'll probably pick up some stuff there for that. They also carry some decent clothes and footwear. I grabbed my wife a Northface Fleece last time I was there.
Also, the one in Foxboro is close to Red Robin, so I can take my son and kill some time before heading over to RR for a burger.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

its ok, fun with kids and fmaily, burgers are a 6 out of 10 with a big variety. The onion ring tower is cool. I enjoy 5 guys more.
I think I missed BPs flyer? I was waiting for the big spring sale, I usually stock up on oil for the boat.
