opinion needed
I got a price for a new leaning post cushion, My boat is a 19, and the leaning post is like a todd, it is mounted on 2 pedestals therefore storage for a cooler is a no go. I found an Aluminum leaning post with 4 rod holders, footrest, and it allows storage for a 54 qt cooler under. It is 33 " wide, a little smaller than the existing one, and is only about $100 buck more than the new cushion. I am thinking buy the new post so I have the storage for the cooler on my small boat.
What do you guys think? Am I crazy??

You'll enjoy the new one and the extra space. I need a footrest on mine.

I like the ebay one, that is really nice. Just needs a backrest.

Decision made today when I got the breakdown on the cost of each pad. Apparently the high cost of oil has driven up the price of foam, getting the leaning post. I really don't care for a backrest though.

Todd is ridiculous with their prices. I have a single leaning post that I bought used from Goose. The cushion had a smal rip that I repaided with heavy duity clear duct tape. Well, after 2 years I do need to replace the cushion. Todd wants $163.00 just for the cushion. The whole post is only $250.

New leaning post came today. It is sweet. I want to fix the seat so it flips forward, and put a storage bucket under it.

I bought from the same guy 2 years ago. My leaning post does not have rod holders. It took about a week to ship and had no problems installing it.
Great leaning post for short money!
