Needed a new water heater so I bought a replacement same heater with the more efficient Energy saver worth the extra 100 bucks.
Went to get the permit from the town and they say I need a fire inspection and
plumbing inspection for a total of $110. Last time it was $35.
Plumber comes in and the town had upgraded the code to a 3 inch vent pipe
up the chimney, so he had to run new pipe up the chimney as well.
Plumber's fee $520. WTH.
Over a grand for a 40 gal water heater that i bet won't last 8-10 years.
