"Operation Pacific" is on now! Brings back memories of watching these movies with my Dad when I was a kid. My Dad was in the Navy....Destroyers, Submarines.....we watched these movies all the time. Good memories.

Duke was not in Battle of the Bulge.....that was Henry Fonda! You might be thinking of "The Longest Day"?
Battle of the Bulge is a fantastic movie though!!!

Just watched "The Shootist" again last night. Great film - the theme of an aging gunfighter coming to grips with cancer.
Great supporting cast also - Jimmy Stewart, Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard (that's right - Richie Cunningham, or for us older folks - Opie), Richard Boone, Harry Morgan (Col. Sherman Potter!) and John Carradine as an undertaker (perfect).
John Bernard Books: "I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them."
