I put my boat in last Saturday, and the talk around the dock ( from some pretty good fluke fisherman.) is that it has been spotty at best. Some nice size fish but a slow pick, they seem to think the fish are not concentrated yet. Still getting some nice SeaBass though.
Just what I heard, and as always you never really know till you go.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

Don"t forget the commercial size limit is 14 inches, so they can often limit out while recs can't catch a keeper.

yeah, stinks. We end up killing numerous 14-18" inch fluke so we can get a keeper. I am going to rake some sand eels this weekend and take a shot next week hopefully. I luv fluke fishing.

had some luck today. I'll vacuum pack them and try next week I guess as I am stuck doing stuff i neglected all week while I was at canal. Thing that sucked today though is I found a comm. raker in my friggin honey hole. I played dumb and asked him all kinds of questions like why he was wasting his time here and why he wasn't up P- Town way. I was kind of pissed but he has as much right to be there as i have for years. Sure sucked though. Hope he sticks his rake on the bottom and losses it.

Went out Southern RI yesterday for 4-5 hours.Nothing to show for it.There was a small army of boats drifting but not much being taken.I saw a couple keepers. My son caught a skate. He beat the old man fishing 1-0 .Best fathers day gift so far was having my boy out fishing with me.

Pulled up about 10 fluke from 30 - 100 ft depth between Quick's and Robinson's Hole and nothing to show, all less than 18" and only 1 close. Small armada of boats in the area and nice rip. Did find the black bass and scup! Started the day less than 3 min. out on the water in schoolie blues (nice tuna bait sized) which was a ball casting for about 30 min before heading down to Quick.'s.

Fluking has definitely heated up with the hot weather, limited out today and no through backs, all 22+". Scups and Black sea bass bite is also still on with limit on scup and 20+ BSB boated in 3 hrs work.

In my first fluke year I am really enjoying this type of fishing.I thought we were doing well until I watched the comm. guys hook em nonstop.I have to work on the filet skills though. My brother pulled up a black sea bass while fluking that must have eclipsed 6 pounds.

managed only 1 keeper out of 20 fluke.Had at least 10 between 16 and 18. Sand eels out fished all the other shallow water fluke guys though and the incoming was way more productive. It was hot as hell out there.
