Fly Swap Anyone ??

Hello everyone and Season's Greetings.
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing another Fly Swap. Last years Swap was fun and very rewarding for me as a Beginner in fly tying. So if interested, get back to me. I'd like to see about a dozen tyers.
If we wind up with an extra set of Flies (hint) Maybe John R. could use them as a fund raiser for the site. (Raffle style)

Thanks
Bob B.

I'll do it!

I think Smokey and his two brothers will too. so thats 4 of us plus Bobbike already!

I'll verify the Laplante boys are all in for sure but since we've done one every year for the last five , I'm pretty sure they are in.

OK looks like we are getting started. What we can do if this does get large is break it down into groups of 12 tyers per group. I've only done this once (last year)..So any feed back would be welcome or If someone feels like a LEADER please come foward...
Anyway Have a great Holiday and see ya all soon

Thanks
Bob B.

We just cut it off at twelve Max. Sorry to tell you this Bobbike but if you start the thread , you are the leader! You need to set a date and at sometime close off the signup so we know how many to make. Usually a good date is late March sometime.

I should be able to whip up 12 flies by then so I guess I will committ. Can't promise you they will be as fancy as some of last years in the photo John posted. It will force me to do some tying anyway.

John - thanks for the welcome. I live outside of Princeton NJ. Fish IBSP, LBI, Cape May & Sandyhook primarily. My younger brother lives up in NH and I fish Mass. with him a couple of times a year.

I'd like to join the fly swap. I just got back visiting the in laws in N.J. I hope it is not too late to sign up. Do you make all the flies the same or some different ones?

Looks like we got 15. I don't mind making 15. That would be one each and one set to raffle. If you got to make 12 , 3 more won't hurt!

Its up to Bobbike but I think we should close this out and go with those already signed up.

Bobbike , we need a deadline. I suggest end of March. Lots going on between now and mid Feb already with the plug thing and reel thing and night out thing........... Let us know a date.

I agree we need to cut it off. 15 flies is a good number. End of March, end of Feb it doesn't matter to me.

End of March would be better for me as I am busy with Iceboating in January & February and don't usually start tying until March. Anymore than 15 and I would have to back out I just couldn't gurantee having more than that ready by the end of March.
