Wink Intro

I've been lurking here for a while and think you guys got a great thing going.

It's become evident that I don't fit in with the fly fishing only crowd on other boards so I hope to be able to add to the mix here as I move from my fly fishing only 18 year history to using spin rods as well.

Only been chasing striped bass seriously for about 5 years.

Been turning some plugs this winter - they all look like crap compared to the stuff I've seen posted, but hope they can fool a few stupid fish.

See you on the water.

Roop

Welcome Roop, any kind of fishermen are welcome here fly, spin, boat, bait,or conventional. so you made a few plugs eh? I am sure they will catch fish, atleast a few of them, fish are stupid.
There's nothing wrong with spinning gear, as long as you enjoy what you are doing out at the water why care what others think.

Thanks guys.

Bigcat - based on my memory of the quality of your gear, you could use mine for teaching the young ones how to cast. Besides, I'm not done flyfishing, just expanding my horizons
