todays trip
the gameplan was to fish east of chatham on sat but the forcast looked crappy so we did a run today. fish4striper was the captain and me and crazy marty were the crew. we meet up in the fog early but as soon as we broke the gurnet it was plenty clear. we ran east and found plenty of tuna but no takers except for a hefty bass who wanted a squid bar. we trolled and runned and gunned but no dice. we headed further north and found more life and decided to jig up some bait and set out a few balloons. we start filling the cooler up w/ cod and all of a sudden there's a comotion aroung a livie. i never see the fin but you could tell it was a shark. it tears the bait off the hook and he's gone. we move around a bit and set up in another spot. guess who's back. this time we hook him up. jeff plays with him for a few minutes and i have a go at him while marty is putting on the belt. we let marty fight him with just a belt for a while to tire out the old man.

i saw a good size tail, this is my first shark up here, so i think it's a thresher but its just a big old blue dog. like 9-10' long. marty gets him up to the boat and the hooks pulls, which worked out perfect.

So I should throw a couple steel leadered hooks on the boat for Sunday? Way to go Marty! Great report Niko....

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.
