restoring waterlogged plugs?

Any way to get restore the action on plugs that have been beaten up and don't work that well anymore? I've got a bunch of pencils that have mojo, but they're not dancing as well as they should, and I suspect they're waterlogged.

Any way to fix this, apart from hanging them up until next year?

Silica gel crystals, you can find a cat litter at Ocean state job lot that will suck the moisture out in a very short time then you could reseal them. Rice is another way to extract the water.

Just give'em some time to dry out, then give'em a dip and repaint/epoxy them...should be able to stretch'em out a few more years

Rinse with fresh, hang in the sun a couple days, lightly sand with 150-220, spray liberally with Helmsman urethane (squirt it right in the holes until it runs out), hang in sun a couple days, lightly sand with 220, clean off dust, then spray with white Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy.

Waterlogged plugs are easier to work slower. Large bass like slower. Give them another chance. Dry them over the winter over your furnace.
