Dude, there were high surf advisories for the Northeast last night. What weather were you looking at?

Got blown off the rock at the Castle three hours before high.... Tried the beach, but too many big boulders in the wash were going to break an ankle.

gotta stop using the boat and beach forecast on weather.com

use noaa near coast forecasts. last night was forecast at 4-7 ft seas with gusts to 20 kt out of the NW. if you went were i think you did, you f'n nuts. don't even consider going there if the forecast calls for anything more than 2-3 ft'ers.

No surf where I was last night and the ZZZ's were endless...

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Sounds like fun unless they were really small. Haven't caught a blue in 2 years.

The waves crashing on the shore didn't tip you off that it was cranking?

Invest in a PFD if you will be going out uninformed about the conditions.

Seriously, all you had to do was listen to ANY weather report on TV, radio or read a newpaper. They had forcast a high surf advisory on Friday for the whole weekend!
