What a night!

And I don't mean that in a good way.

So after leaving Flo's feeling good and full of primerib I get to my first spot and someone's already there. No big deal.I hang out for a bit to see if the guy stays. He's fishing so I take off and hit another spot.

I'm all by myself at the next place, sweet.I get follow right to the rocksusing a darter. No love for the next hour so I decide to move on.I make the hike back to the car.I unlock the trunk and slide my pole in and just as close it I realize the keys are inside...NO!!!!!!!!!!.

My wallet with spare and my cell are in the console. Now I have to wait for someone to drive by on a lonely dark road that doesn't have much traffic.Thank goodness a car came by no to much later and the young girl and her boyfriend allowed me the use of their cell(THANKYOU!).

Got a hold of Jane and she was able to actually find me and bring me another spare.

A long night with very little actual fishing.

Always my work fear, especially when far from home and sleep deprived. I try to force myself to put the key in the ignition and put down the driver window first thing. Usually try to check for my key about four times before I lock and leave as well. Worked so far for me.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago. Luckly I was driving a GM product with OnStar. Called OnStar and exactly 18 minutes later my doors unlocked. They just send a signal from the Sat nav system

No boat, back in the suds.
