My TAKE on The Ditch,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

first year to fish there, fished it not nearly enough~~~

went there 6 times; hooked-up twice~ landed bupkiss!
MUCH thanks to BackBeach for "showing me the rocks", AND
for the Conrad Slopehead that IS a NShore linesiderin' magnet!

LOVED it there, what an amazing, iconic, historic piece of the Striper Coast. i am quite shore that i've only begun to scratch the surface of such a diverse and mysterious fishery; however i DID determine that it can be a VERRRRY productive place to fish, and at the TOP of my To Learn List, with GeeBRRY as a strong 1A. the cast of charachters that accompanies its storied past/present will also be a thrill to discover!!

in an effort to confirm or deny what the bottom seams like
to me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i offer this crude and simplistic rendering~~~

as always, thanks for any and ALL comments or opinions.

The only thing missing from that picture is about 2 dozen Deep Shads that I lost to lobster traps and other rip rap on the bottom.

You are missing a canal cruiser on either side as well, and dont forget the jackbags casting from the path over the top of the people fishing at the waters edge, this picture clearly has been done by a true artist,

Andy i think that is the spot we fished last time, looks like the hole infront of you i was grabbing the stripers from, thoughts?

you forgot the white buckets, old discarded dunkin donuts coffee cups, and 500 miles of braid stuck in the rocks.

Thumbs up Bravo

Nice " Art "
Picassoesque in its neoclassical figurative style. A slight hint of cubism.
Simply amazing what you can do with a day off and a box full of crayons.
Your refrigerator door must be a display of greatness.

May fortune favor the foolish....
