FERTILIZER/DECON WARNING

I went out to the shed to put what was left of Scott's # 4 on the lawn, because I didn't want to waste it. About a week earlier I threw three paper packages of the mouse bait onto the barn floor. The bait was gone a few days ago. I am thinking thats great, an early winter late fall kill-off of mice.

Then I pour the Scotts # 4 into the spreader and what do I see, but the light blue pellets from the decon. The little turds had opened and emptied the Decon, then carried up onto the shelf, and into the opened baG OF FERTILIZER.

What if I had spread that on the front lawn where the dog walks around??????????????????? Its bad enough that the fertilizer would be there. You have to keep a close watch while she is outside. But one pellet of the decon would be devastating.

Just thought I'd pass this on. Other people here must use the stuff in the shed/barn.

when your dog sudden develops instantaneous rig-a-mortis while
your driving around ....not a fun time at all.

the only reason i let her out of my sight for a few minutes was
because i was smashing a cast iron tub that took allot of HITS
from the ten pound sledge before it finally broke.

Craig, I had a bird when I saw all the pellets come out of the fertilizer bag and fall into the rotary spreader.

I have a neighbor who doesn't like me and hates my dogs. In the last year I have found a super ball with a ring nail stuck through it in my yard and multiple pieces of glass in their pen. I have no proof of who other than assumption but lord forbid the day I find out. I have to check my yard carefully before letting the dogs out. I love my dogs, it wont be nice when I find out who.

Set up a game cam in your yard, it works on motion

I just put some out Monday, then today I was on the deck smoking and watching a cat chase a mouse behind the fence next to the shed. Now I had a bad feeling till the mouse got away. I am going to get some snap traps and remove the DECON
