Xmas Present
Look what Santa (my son) gave me for a present, personalized by Koch:
Our brewers worked for two years with the world’s oldest brewery, Germany’s Weihenstephan, to create this unique new beer style. A groundbreaking brew, made with only the four traditional ingredients: malted barley, hops, water and yeast, Infinium™ is a crisp champagne-like beer with fine bubbles and a fruity, spicy aroma. The crisp clean malt character and delicate fruit notes in this beer are complemented by a slight citrus flavor from dry hopping with Bavarian Noble hops. Bottle conditioning adds another layer of complexity and light spice notes.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

It's a beer champaign (no not Miller)! A novel new way of making beer.

I've used champagne yeast to make beer, beer yeast dies with an alcohol content > 12 pct.
Ended up with 15 pct alcohol but lots of additional sugars, via rice syrup. Should be interesting to see their approach, with just wort.
The dry hopping I am sure has made it extra snappy, that is a great hop.
If you want to try to make your own some time. I couldn't keep up with demand! I have all the equipment.

Jim Koch is my Hero
I want to give the Utopias a try...Ale House up here has it for $26 for an 8 oz glass....better than trying a bottle for 2 bills.

I've generally not been a fan of Sam especially their seasonal stuff,
though their Pale Ale is almost as good as the UFO.
But the Infinium sounds(and looks) like it might be very good.

Utopias are really nice, what about 20-25% alc.
Had some at the Sam's Octoberfest 2 yrs ago, only cost a $10 donation beyond ticket price to the event.

Apparently the line started at midnight, he&girlfriend (the sabiki rig bait addict) were #102/103 in line at 7:30am. Sam's treated them well: let them inside, sub 20dF that morning and full breakfast buffet. He Koch was already well on his way to a good buzz....
