Dropper flies

3-3.5" long synthetic dropper flies on 6/0 octopus. I may keep them blind, need to epoxy....

Nice flies Mike. Why are they called dropper flies? Are they weighted to sink?

I think dropper flies are the same as teasers which are fished ahead of a plug. Often very effective in the canal around August September when there is baby bunker and herring about.

Dropper flies are attached to the leader via a dropper loop ahead of your lure.
