I have an iPhone with AT&T. I will be swithcing but... I'm going to be wait until after June's Macworld. I'd guess that will be when the 4G phones will be announced with the release in late-June or July. I've gotten used to being able to talk on the phone and send text messages/emails or use other programs that require connecting to the network.

As of right now, I see the only benefits of switching to Verizon being a possible reduced price (they haven't release plan pricing yet) and better service. Staying with AT&T will provide faster service (when you actually have it) and the ability to talk on the phone while also using apps that need to connect to their network.

I would expect the data plans to be the same or higher on Verizon.

I'll stick with AT&T as with all the iPhone users switching to V, my iPhone will be faster on ATT. Plus I can pick up a spare

I heard you can't multi-task on the Verizon version where you can on the AT&T??

Either browse web or talk on phone.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

That's what I was going into in my post above. It's due to Verizon's CDMA protocol. Once they switch over to the 4G LTE network, you'll be able to browse the web/send email/text while on the phone.

The iPhone will still multi-task, but it cannot make dual connections (voice and data) to the Verizon network at the same time.
