This is somewhat puzzling to me. What is the reason/advantage of this? Doe the reel loosen? Does the reel spin on the rod after fishing it a while (Tape wear or loosen). Just looking for some answers, I've never seen this before. I don't plan tp try it but it is an interesting concept.
