Spring must be on the way......

Have seen several flocks of different kinds of birds fly by this AM, all headed NORTH.....And the squirrels are slippin and slidin all over my icy yard. Hopefully a sign of spring on its way....
About 3 1/2 mths until GO time..............

the return of chipmunks is the sign to look for

birds return from down South when ground temps there RISE

but i doubt they realize that its bittersweet berries or Nuthin up here

I smelled my first skunk on Jan 31 st.

Look for blackbirds (not starlings) around the third-fourth week of this month. Red-wings, with a few grackles mixed in. That's not a sign of spring, it's just the first migrants from the south coming our way.

I looked for a sign today, but a wall of snow and ice was blocking my window, so I didn't see much....
