Oops...skipped a step....
My better half doesn't appreciate the fumes eminating from my basement shop.... rattle cans. Got the cease and desist.... And I was having so much fun and even some success mixing colors. Need to build a spray booth with exhaust fan tomorrow......

You can't spray haps like rattle cans through a home spray booth.
YOU GO BOOM
Not to mention your homeowners insurance is null and VOID...

Getting a motor on the fan that won't go boom..... or going with puter fans like Lu's design.

It's your house Ross. It's not supposed to be there to begin with whether you think you have a implosion proof fan or not.
Even if it could be there legally, spray booth fans have to be COMPLETELY isolated from the air stream per NFPA regs.
Just pointing this out. I've said it for years that somebody is going to be a example....don't be it.

Point well taken, Scott. On hold, Re-thinking this. Warmer on Wed to finish this batch outside.

I have a 12 volt blower out of a bilge. You could hook one up to a dryer vent hose and suck it out a window in a jiffy/hack/afterthought. It's an explosion proof fan anyways.
I used to spray in the very top attic window, the natural draft of the heat rising would suck out the fumes.

Yep, that would be explosion proof, wouldn't it? I'll look around town in the boatyards.... Thanks Mike. You going to Plugfest?

Maybe a airbrush just a consideration(no boom) unless your spraying primer from a rattle can too.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Only problem with that is...mo money! I typically prime in the garage or at work. Keep the smelly stuff out of the house. Then I can airbrush all night in the house and not bother anyone.
