Plugfest...what are you bringing to trade?
Never been to plugfest before, but will have some stuff with me to trade. I made about 150 plugs this winter...mostly metal lipped dannies, donny sr's, conrad sr's, 7"eelies, and some needles.
How much trading typically goes on here? Should I bring 5,10,20 plugs with me?
Should the plugs be hookless or fully rigged?
I'm looking to dupe as many unsuspecting chumps as I can...

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Trading occurs pretty much the first thing. I have a dozen, mostly surface lures to trade with this year.

Good luck duping the unsuspecting. ALL the plugbuilders I know are very good at not getting ho'd.

there is a learning curve Mike with this hoing stuff. I was never very good at hoing but I got hoed many times. If Bassmaster shows you can watch him. Comes with nutin and goes home with plugs. Bring them all and they will all be gone. I'd bring like 20. I'm not bring much plug wise. At this point mostly promised stuff. Still go lots of time before the fish show so I have not finished a lot, yet.

That is pretty much my story.. although I tend to leave with far less than I arrive with.. I'll have alot less than usual for bartering and Ho'ing, as I havent had the time i usulay have... but I'll have enough to pique some interest...

I learned ho'ing from the master. Mr. Striper. Unfortunately, I'm really bad at it, damn guilty conscience of mine. But, my 2 year old Cameron, has no qualms about it, he was was around Ernie for 10 minutes and managed to get a plug from Lower last year. I think he may be learning fast.

First you're not bringing any, then you're not giving any away, then you're hoarding everything you make for the fish you won't catch this summer. What's next, a suicide bomb?

I've been serenading outside Capesams window for a green an yella plug but the darn guy wasn't home.
I think he had some plastic surgery so we wouldn't recognize him at the plug fest.
I,ll have to sing at the fest.
