Mechanic help
I was driving on the xway today, and at speeds above 65 my front end is shaking, when I hit the breaks to slow down it got worse, regular driving around the city she's fine. Any ideas, I was thinking a stuck caliper or maybe a warped rotor, the tires are fairly new like 12000 miles, and the break are 2 years, but I noticed some scoring on one of the front rotors..

I just googled it, and there are lots of people who have this problem, but no one has an answer to fix it, seems that people are having the problem right out of the dealer ship and Ford is clueless as to how to fix it.

It's an EB Expedition.
I am leaning towards replacing both calipers and rotors.

the calipers stick, at least on my Jeep because, the boots on the calipers rods expand and cause the rods to bind.
I had this happen when I replaced my fronts , I had to undo the install coat the the rods with a good caliper grease. I also removed 1 of the boots and only used grease. This was recommended on the Jeep forum.

typical Ford (and Jeep etc.) Brake issue.. the calipers are crap, pure and simple.. 12-18 months is about it for them...unless you go with a high end aftermarket upgrade...

they ain't the "be all, end all" that you think.. I know of lots of people that have had horror stories with that brand as well..matter of fact..my neighbor just was elated to get rid of their sequoia.. after dumping 8 grand into it over the last 18 months..bad tranny, then transfer case, then tranny again..then the engine said by by..
funny how everything went south after the 30K warranty was over.. just like most all the other brands
bottom line...
all car, truck brands... SUCK..period, end of story.. they make them to break, rot, and wear out.. engineered to fail.. it's called profit...for them..and their subcontractors...the aftermarket parts companies...
besides...they all keep guys like you twisting wrenches...

Look for excessive brake dust on the rim, that will tell you If the caliper is sticking/brakes dragging.

unfortunately, that is what it's come to.. and yes get it.. makes the dealer happy.. he makes a good chunk when he sells its to you, and it's the gift that keeps giving (for the dealership) when he bills it out on the other end.. get the zero deductable... or you'll have to fork over the 50 or 100 or whatever everytime.. no matter what the cost of the repair, or non reppair... and get it no matter what brand you buy!
and make sure you get rid of it, just before the extended warranty is up!

YEP wish I could have afforded to, because 22,000 miles after the hundred, I had a major motor problem cost me a chitload
does anybody do good work anymore?
Ford sucks with their minimum crap, their rotors are probably so thin they warp before they get many miles on them. Aftermarket cheap parts are worse. You have to pay big bucks for good stuff I guess

Did the front brakes today, new rotors and pads, the right side was missing a return spring that was the side that was stuck. All set now 90mph on the highway no shake or shimmy...
