Tides ?

I hope to fish tonight for Stripers. I noticed high tide at Green Harbor is two hours earlier than High tide at the East enterance of the Canal.
Why is there a two hour difference when the locations are not that far apart?

The tides should be only a few minutes apart. You sure you aren't comparing the high tide at Green Harbor with West end of the Canal?

or this years tide chart?

Don't worry, we've all made that error before, but we learned that when haul your butt 50-80 miles to hit the canal at the right tide/time and your off by a couple hours, it won't happen again!

Hopefully your outing will be productive!
