Are you all feeling it.
The first crisp night of the year is almost here. The leaves are staring to change. The first couple weeks of September always get my blood pumping for what is coming. It was a tough august with work and the lack of time on the water. Its easier to sleep during august after a 60 hour week at work, i dont feel like im going to be missing as much on the water. I will catch up on sleep sometime after thanksgiving now. Sleep is way over rated come fall.

I can't wait! The fishing has picked up dramatically for me in Southern Maine. Next weekend I'm off till the end of the month with nothing to do but fish. I have high hopes for the fall.

This time of year is just awesome in many respectsother than great
Today on the way home from work I too noticed the leaves changing in some sparse areas on 495 S and route 2 west,I got to thinking is this happening already or is it the damaging side effects of that Witch Irene?

I just came in an hour ago as the rain started down my way. while i was reeling in my needle and it was close to the surface a bass exploded up on it and knock it 1 foot in air and missed it. This sure is a nice time a year for us RI guys.

It is shaping up to being to worst year I ever had. My only hope is these last 6 weeks. Anybody out there seriously happy about the striper population? If so, you're more optimistic than I am.
