Strange hookup!
We just got done playing with schoolies for about 45 min, then boating a bluefish while trolling macs (yes they are still around ) then one of the lines (Penn 330TLD) goes off screaming like no tomorrow. Skippy grabs the rod thinking this is his striper of a lifetime (I think he peed himself ). The rod is screaming and all of a sudden a mole mola breaches out of the water. Luckily it throws the hook, and the mac.
This fish must have been at least 4' and what a couple hundred pounds?
Best catch of the day other than the 35" bass and ODM!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Must have been a baby.
Nebe once told me of a strange hook up he had in college, but in his defense, you can't always tell until you get their pants off

Sissy, you should have gone down on that like special forces penetrating a Taliban stronghold.

Lesson learned,
When a fish is gut hooked with a treble, cut the line... Don't think its going to be easy to take the hook out. We should have made the decision to cut the line, instead I got hooked.
I needed to push the barb fully through so I told the guys to continue fishing and I went to the front of the boat and pushed it through. Phil was prepared with a mini set of bolt cutters to cut the barb off and after it was out we bandaged it up and it was back to fishing.... Beautiful day to be out there!!!
The nick name for the end of the day was "Mike ET finger"
Good times, can't wait for the next trip!!!
First pic hook in finger
Second pic barb out of finger
