Cheapness being a genetic trait, Sauerkraut's brother once took advantage of a line company's offer for free line for fish over a certain size, one entry per person. He caught a fish, I think it was a kingfish or drum but don't recall anymore, from some southern state that qualified, but he had already entered a prior fish, so he told them he caught it in NJ and used his NJ address. Next thing he knows the NJ DMF gets in touch with him all excited because the fish was a new NJ state record. He told them he ate it and kept the line.
