Question Daiwa Saltiga Surf Rods

Greetings from South Australia! It's been a few years since I've moved down here, the fishing is great but sometimes I miss the stripers, although being able to fish year-round is nice.

I'm looking for some thoughts on these rods. I'm thinking about ordering one from US ebay and it's not a rod model that's available down here so I can't check it out for myself. I'm looking at either the 11' H or 11'3" XH casting models. It's been my experience with Daiwa surf rods that they perform best in the lower portion of their weight rating. So the 11' H rated 4-7oz should throw 4-5 maybe 6 well, the 11'3" XH rated 6-10 should excel at throwing 6-8?

Can anyone with first hand knowledge of these rods confirm the sweet spot of either of these rods? I will greatly appreciate any input, it's a bit scary contemplating a purchase of a rod that I've never had in my hands.

I hear you. I have never purchased a rod without actually holding it and "feeling" it's action.
If you buy direct, is there a ship-back option?

What species are you targeting?
